Our Sustainability Workshops explore sustainability from a comprehensive and systemic point of view, looking at solutions, lifestyle dimensions and actions to shrink our impact, change makers and inspiring projects and initiatives already existing.
Sustainability and Solutions Modules
The seven topics of Sustainability and Solutions delve deeper into various dimensions of modern living, the impact had on the environment and ways to reduce this. Each module last approx 90 minutes. They can be booked as one-off classes or as a series.
Food & Nutrition
Our global food system does not work anymore, for us and for the planet. Learn why and what we can do to help transition to a more sustainable system.
Renewable Energy
Energy use and sources, fossil fuels, renewable energy, energy saving habits.
Sustainable Travel
How we move and the impact of our travel. Assessing alternative travel options.
Consumption & Waste
The impact of waste. Low impact and zero waste living. The ‘6 R’s of Sustainability’; Refuse | Reuse | Reduce | Rethink | Rot | Recycle and the zero-waste lifestyle.
Citizenship
What does it mean to be an active citizen? How to gain awareness and raise your voice. Investigate other young campaigners and activists. Learn of the many solutions and initiatives already out there.
Textiles
The textile industry ranks as one of the most destructive to people and planet. Find out how the overconsumption and waste of textiles increases our environmental footprint. Be inspired by existing initiatives to reduce the impact of fast fashion. Learn practical ways to become a wiser consumer.
Plastics
Has plastic always been the evil it is today? Discover the history and science behind this versatile material. Explore the different types of plastic and their impact on ecosystems. Learn how to reduce the use of plastic and how to recycle correctly.
Ecology
Explore the basics of ecology: what it is, why it matters, and how ecosystems work. Learn about food chains, food webs, and the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers. Discover how human actions impact ecosystems and how we can make positive changes.
